As old Italian folklore goes, a thief walking through a fair in Prato, Tuscany stole a stick of salami from a merchant and hid it in a field of wild fennel. When he returned, it had absorbed the distinct sweet flavor and aroma of the fennel, and fennel salami (“finocchiona”) was born.

Our fennel salami is reminiscent of the classic Tuscan countryside. Aromatic and bright from a dusting of coarse-ground fennel seeds, this fennel salami has an alluring, delicately fresh, sweet flavor.

We ship out Monday – Wednesday. Most orders received by noon CST on Monday – Wednesday will be sent out that same day. Orders received Thursday – Sunday will ship out the following Monday. For orders placed on Wednesday: If the courier estimates more than a 2-day transit time, we may hold your order until the following Monday to ensure it will not sit in a shipping warehouse over the weekend.
